Designer Stefan Ulrich has come up with Funktionide, a concept for an emotional robot that substitutes human contact. It changes form depending on how you hold it and it breathes. This disturbing video shows a guy and his Functionaide.

Design For A Dollar

Industrial design students from the Pratt Institute in New York turned egg cartons into lamps and melted bottle caps into bowls for their exhibition, “Design for a Dollar” at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair. Perhaps we could get some of the pieces for our creative department?
