The Drinking Man’s Chair

August 27, 2009

Made from 10,000 drinking straws, the Clutch Chair is apparently a comment on the disposable nature of our culture. Not sure if UK designer, Scott Jarvie is taking himself too seriously but I still think it looks pretty rad.

Check out the incredible body of work from English sculptor, Heather Jansch. A woman who makes life-size equine sculptures made almost entirely out of found driftwood.

It was estimated to fetch around $2.8million, instead its new owner shelled out a hefty $28million. This armchair previously owned by french fashion legend Yves Saint Laurent has now become the world’s most expensive chair.
