yves-sait-laurent-chair-1On day 2 of the Yves Saint Laurent collection auction, two men threw bids at each other of 500,000 euros at a time for the so-called “dragons” armchair made by French designer Eileen Gray around 1917 to 1919. It was estimated to fetch around $2.8million, instead its new owner shelled out a hefty $28million. This armchair previously owned by french fashion legend Yves Saint Laurent has now become the world’s most expensive chair.
